Linhof Technika's wide angle focusing device broken

    Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum but I read many threads about folding cameras and more.
But now I'm in trouble with a big problem: I've a Linhof technika v with super angulon 65 f8 and his wide angle focusing device... Unfortunately the knob to move the wide device was broken and now I'm searching for a new\user part....

But I can't find anything on the web.... So I'm asking to everyone who could have this replacement part or if you have a site to suggest to me where find this part.

On some site I've found entire wide angle focusing device, but is very expensive and I don't want to buy the entire device for more than 200 dollars...

Can you help me? Here a photo of the broken part....

    thanks everyone

    Luca

Bob Watkins at Precision Camera might have the part. Call him and ask.

Make a whole replacement part. The plastic knob is probably attached to a standard metric-size shaft. Knobs are common, too. If you are in the USA, I suggest you drop by Ace Hardware and show it to the man.

Aside: if you are going to spend serious time tinkering with LF, get a good caliper because you can measure parts yourself and order from McMaster-Carr - or Ace without pestering the clerk.

While back had a knob snap off of a threaded shaft. Went to ACE hardware and bought a bolt with the same threads and a knob. Cut off the threaded part of the bolt. Drilled a hole in each (that was the hard part) and inserted a small threaded metal threaded rod into each (threads provided space for the epoxy) and "glued" them together with J B WELD. J B WELD now offers a "Quick-Setting Steel Reinforced Epoxy" called KwikWeld. "Sets in 6 minutes and cures in 4 hours". To me, At room temperature it seems to set in under 6 minutes, but I was using a thin coating of the stuff on the threaded metal rod. Personally let it cure for 24 hours before using the fabricated part.
