Like I said at the beginning, I've not gotten any reply to my inquiry from Steve.

Or one could buy-Borosilicate Materials by Schott
BorofloatŪ glass is a clear and transparent colorless glass. Its excellent transmission and very weak flourescence intensities over the entire light spectrum make it ideal for a wide range of applications in optics, optoelectronics, photonics and analytical equipment. BorofloatŪ offers outstanding thermal resistance, exceptionally high transparency, high chemical durability and excellent mechanical strength.

It seems like borosilicate glass would be considerably more difficult to grind than float glass, curious if anyone has tried doing it by hand.

I doubt that there would be a noticeable difference. Borosilicate is 1.5 Mohs harder than common glass, expands less, and doesn't heat treat well. So
Little more grinding, possibly a bit more delicate in use.

One thing is for sure, the only way that you will truly know anything is for you take a chance and give it a try. Go find out.

Maybe Groundglass and Fresnel from 3s-krpc ebay. seller of Cosmic Circle cameras, 18° and other branded stuff. I have a fresnel only not yet checked ontop of Polaroid MP3-Groundglass. he told it cannot be cut. it will break. 100 x122mm

NB: I am currently precisely testing Dora Goodman Zone Z1(Mamiya Universal Press/Super 23-lenses and Graflok 23/G-backs(at least some are matching....).
I have been checking focus by comparing with MUPS23-system and using all kind of groundglasses plus rick olesons magnificient brightscreens. he could cut it to custom sizes but i fear not up to 4x5. and there are open questions.
NB 2: Zone Z1 can be advised-body is ok, a bit too short.
Gill get other groundglasses. thought about a universal one for all kind of backs.
    Hope this is not offset.
Came here after surfing Satin Snow Groundglass and Hopfglass-both seem gone.
