Professional Photo Lab anywhere in Europe

    Hi,

Due to various reasons I cannot develop my 8x10's myself presently, therefore I am looking for a professional photo lab preferably somewhere in Europe (where I am based at the time). GB still being considered as part of Europe, geographically

I am looking for true masters of the craft but small enough for being open to experimenting with film and chemicals they might not have used in combination yet. You know what I mean, the old nerd in the lab handling each sheet of film with love - or enthusiastic youngsters willing to go the extra mile. Personal relationship counts. If any big lab also offers that, sure, why not. Highest quality and reliability is must.

Any suggestions where I could get my negatives developed would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you!
    Arved

https://dominique-granier.book.fr/ The says 13x18cm but I guess he can do 8x10. In the EU 8x10" is less common, you have to ask.

Politically also, it's clear that UK has to exit from the UE now, but another (better) frame should be build.

They say that in their web "Laboratorio especializado en fotografía química en blanco y negro e impresión digital sobre papeles Fine Art." https://copialab.com/productos/

Until I know they have a fully equiped Pro darkroom to do any custom work, today I guess that most of they do (like many others) is scanning (they have a Hassie scanner with the 5x7" adapter, IIRC) and printing with big Epsons. There was less 8x10" activity in the EU, 13x18cm was a popular pro LF choice.

There are also some skilled darkroom printers in BCN that I guess I could locate, if you are interested, I guess that they would develop sheets.

An update, it has to be asked to them because the services they offer may have changed a few months ago.

    Cheers !

    Hello from Besançon, France!

I'm regularly using the services of the French lab PHOTON PRO located in Toulouse, France.
    http://www.labo-photon.fr

They do process 8x10" [20x25 cm] film for E6 colour slides and C41 colour negs, but as far as B&W is concerned, on their web site, they only mention: manual processing up to the 4x5" format.
    http://www.labo-photon.fr/tarifs/tar...loppement.html

I have also used in the past on a regular basis, the excellent services of the German lab PHOTO STUDIO 13 located near Stuttgart. It was for 35-mm and 120 processing [they do process B&W slides e.g. Agfa Scala and current equivalent B&W films suitable for reversal].

Their web site mentions for both colour and B&W processing what we call "Planfilm" in French and German, but no mention of the maximum size.

Since I mentioned B&W slides processed by PHOTO STUDIO 13 in Germany, and since you live in Venice (** note 1), may be you should also contact Agenzia Luce in Trieste; in the past they offered reversal processing of B&W slides. Not sure it they continue to offer this service, though.

(** note 1) Not far from where I live there is a village named Venise (A variant of Paris, Texas, USA.)
