Enlarger identification please

What is it?

Is it any good?

Is a manual available?

In need of an 8x10 enlarger for 40 x 50 " prints. Perhaps this is the one.

Dunno about the chassis, but the head looks like a Chromega F.

I'd say it's a Durst L-184 with a Chromega F head. If the head doesn't work, just slap a 12x12 coldlight head and one of your timers and you'll be set! If it works, just make sure you get the fan for the head; you don't need the refrigerator. That head rotates 90 Deg for horizontal projection, so size is limited by how much space you have.

Check if it has gelatin or dichroic filters. The gelatins Omega used we’re prone to fading.

That version of the Chromega F should have dichroic filters. It's an older model, later (mid-1980s on) were painted black. I don't think that there were any mechanical differences though. I worked with several examples (not on Durst chassis though) over the years, true workhorses.

Yes, it is an Italian-American hybrid of these two enlargers. I can't post the PDFs but they are available on the internet.
