I've been on Carol's waiting list since last November.

How? What he wrote was exactly opposite of what he meant. Plus having grammatical errors.

Getting back to the OP's concern, I've been sending shutters to Henry Paine: https://www.henrypaine.com

He's worked on relatively modern rim-set Compurs, an old dial-set Compur and a No. 5 Ilex Universal for me and I've been satisfied. He's told me that he works on most any shutter. When my Copals need a CLA I'll send them to him also. The last shutter I sent him was turned around in a week. That's been my usual experience.

Re: Where to send Lens for CLA?

Thank you everyone for your help.

The lens is a Nikon-W 210/5.6 in Copal shutter.
Everything works, but the aperture selector is tighter to move than my other lenses, and I think it needs a CLA.
I did send Carol an email, and if she is unable to do the work, I will contact a repairperson mentioned in this thread.

    Kind regards,
    Darr

If the lens is already mounted on a board and the aperture lever is hard to move, it is possible that the retaining ring has been tightened too much. Loosen it just a little bit, but not enough to make the lens loose in the board.

If the lens is unmounted it is possible that the lever may be bent at some point.

If either is not the case, there may be a problem.

Precision Camera Works in IL did a CLA on an Ilex 5 for me this year. Good work in a reasonable amount of time. L

Another possibility, for those with Alphax or Betax shutters is https://alphaxbetax.com/. I don't know if they work on other shutters or not.

The site also has a great deal of information on Wollensak, including many issues of Lensology & Shutterisms, some Wollensak lens catalogs, and large scans of a lovely 1913 booklet on the Verito. (Disclosure: I provided the scans of the Verito booklet.)
