Chromagraph S3500

I was given a Chromagraph S3500. I hooked everything up. It has DC 3000 software running on windows 3.1 ----- I have no clue what to do next. I am not new to prepress and scanning, I have been doing it for 25 years. I cannot find a singe article on google - nothing about this scanner. I wasn't given any books or anything. Just strange how I can't find any info on this. The only thing I can find is buying Silverfast and converting it to a S 3400 but no clue how I would turn it into a 3400
