I can't seem to find a way to delete old attachment pics after the FS thread is closed.
The ghost box in the upper right corner goes away, and Select All doesn't include the pics from closed threads.
Please advise.
Thanks!

Have you tried "edit post" at the bottom?
When I go to My Settings>Miscellaneous>Attachments, the attachments all show up. The only ones selectable are ones in live posts. The images in closed posts are not selectable, therefore undeletable.
If you no longer want the pictures to show up in the listing, you can delete the links to the attachments using "edit post".
If you want to clear the pictures themselves, try re-opening the thread, deleting the pictures, and then re-closing the thread.
Re-opening/ deleting/re-closing worked.
Tedious process, but got the job done.
In future posts, I will delete before closing threads...
no sense in storing photos of long-gone items.
Thanks!
how can you delete pix from manage attachments?
I've done a bit more research on this. You can't directly delete pictures from "Manage Attachments". However, you may have noticed the fine print "Uploads not utilized within one hour will be deleted". It appears that if you have "orphan" attachments - attachments that aren't referenced in any posts - vBulletin may purge them after a while even if the attachment originally was referenced in a post, so long as it no longer is. I did an experiment this morning, setting up a test thread in the moderators' area, adding some attachments and then a bit later deleting them from the posted thread. After a couple of hours, the files had indeed vanished from my "Manage Attachments" view.
So if you have attachments for which you deleted any references a while back, take a look at your "Manage Attachments" view and see whether the files are still there.
ah so as long as its being referenced, it will live.
thanks, got it.
