Enlarger head and optic placement in Bessler 45 condenser

I got a used Bessler 45 condenser head today. The head has two large condenser lens (right at six inches) within it. In this case the bottom lens was still in the head and the other lens was wrapped separately. I think the bottom lens is convex surface up and the second lens was convex surface down but I am not sure. Is there anyone who can give me some input?
    Thanks
    Jerry

Have you called Beseler in PA? Or gone to their web site?

YES the top convex is down n bottom is facing up. The bottom condenser sits on the bottom rim, then a metal sleeve is put in. the top condenser sits on the top of that n has clips to keep the condensers in place. To put the top in safely, you can slip your fingers with a micro cloth in the filter draw opening n steady the top as you lower it in. I use my lint free gloves to do this.

BTW they do not touch... the filters fit between the condensers so there is a gap at the filter draw opening.
