After 33 years of ownership the Kasino sold. The owner, guy in the cowboy hat and Yankees fan, wanted a photo of the bar and crew.

I posted this photo under "Old," but maybe it's better suited here, under "Americana." Shot this on U.S. 60 in Kentucky nearly 30 years ago. 4x5 Tri-X developed in HC110. V700 scan.

Along U.S. 60 in Kentucky (ca. late 80s). Tri-X, HC-110, V700 scan. I need to travel back through there and see if the barn is still there.

There are several Rock City signs near my home. I live off Hwy 11 to Chattanooga and they’re still pretty common here. I heard last year that Rock City was no longer maintaining these signs so eventually they’ll be gone. Living just north of Chattanooga all my life they’ve been an icon of this region. I went there as a kid several times.

Ben, that's an iconic image. It captures the rural atmosphere well.
