I don't use Instagram or any other program to put images on the web. Many years ago I Had one stolen which later appeared in a full page add. There was nothing I could do about it. Never again.

Sure there was. It would just involve lawyers.

I've successfully DMCA'd Facebook and Twitter. Print media would be a bit different but I wouldn't hesitate to send a hefty bill and legal letter for that kind of flagrant use.

Not sharing your photos because of worries about someone using them is silly IMO.

The internet is a lawless frontier, venture in carefully. Yes, I have instagram, but post sparingly. Mostly watch the videos posted of my grandchildren.
