The Palmer is back open, too, after being closed for a couple of years!

I will find a cheaper boutique hotel a bit north, shorter walk to Shaws and O'Brians

I love the Welcome mat in front of the open wall, door to the left. Trying to confuse people like me. That store holds a place in my heart. I probably only stopped in 6 or 7 times over the years. So rich with history. I will be making the pilgrimage from Iowa City to Chicago, the pot hole capital of the world. Palmer house is cool. Maybe I will take some good used stuff in to donate

I was there last Wednesday to get fixer and more film. There are a number of used cameras on display (including 4x5), but Don said that they still have hundreds of boxes of equipment to unpack. Still on limited hours, however.

Plan to change trains in Chicago next Tuesday and hope the shop is open.

They are back in their original place next door. I was there on Saturday. The shoppers are back and the stock of new, used and vintage stock is build up. Nice work Don ! Click image for larger version.
