    New to LF

    Hey

New to the boards, early days of LF.

I've been a practicing photographer for about 10 years working in the north of Australia. It's not the easiest place to learn what with the heat, dust and humidity. But it's good to have a challenge

Like others have said, these boards have been great for research so it's good to say g'day

It's probably easier for you though, since the image on the ground glass will at least be right side up.

Here is a welcome from Canada, and a nod to Kent for quote of the month. Cracked me up.

    Hi Steve, and Welcome Aboard.

    Hope we can help.

Would love to see some of your work.

BTW... Don't wait until you have a shot you think is great before posting.

We all learn from creative comments and suggestions on shots that are less than perfect.

G'day to you, and good shooting.

If you believe you can, or you believe you can't... you're right.

There is a lot to shoot in Australia and if you get tired of that then just vacation in New Zealand for a different environment. I've never been but a very good friend of mine spent a month in Australia and then a month in New Zealand when he was young. He had the time of his life! He said that he wished I could have come with my camera (35mm back in those days).

    Welcome to the forum, Steve!

Will do Leigh. I've been processing some B&W for the first time to, just to add that learning experience to the mix.

Where would be the best place to post?

G'day Steve from a fellow Aussie living just north of Sydney. Welcome aboard; there are some others here but we are a rare breed. I'm also new to large format taking the leap about 6 months ago with a 4x5 Chamonix. Totally enthralled with it despite the steep learning curve.
