    Yesterday in Yosemite Valley---a report

    Congestion wasn't bad.
We were even able to find parking spaces.
    The falls where incredible!
Work crews removing beetle kill downed by the heavy snows were all over the place.
The Ansel Adams Gallery is no longer stocking 4x5 film.
The mosquitos weren't yet out, but the deer were.
The Dogwoods are in bud, but so far no blossoms.

If you want to visit Yosemite Valley to see the falls, now is the time.
It's going to get crowded very soon!

Thanks! Heading there for my reception for our 4-person show at the AA Gallery! It is on Saturday, so it'll be busy in the Park! Fortunately I can 'camp out' behind the gallery!

Were I live "Marble Acres Family Park and Baseball Diamond" was pretty empty.
Oak tree buds littered the parking lot from the recent cold weather.
Ground was soggy and the grass had not yet been cut.
There there was a puddle by the swing-set.
The stream was a little muddy, and some moss was growing on the picnic table.
The convenient store on the corner of Locust and Cherry St. no longer sells disposable cameras.
The map for the hiking trail that winds behind the shed hasn't been put up since it fell down last spring.
I saw two, maybe three ground squirrels; one black and one grey for sure.

    So much depends
    upon

    an old picnic
    table

    garnished with peat
    moss

    beside the white
    shed...

Today in Yosemite -- April 28 2019: The Dogwoods are in bloom. Quite full and persistent, especially in the western end of the valley. as many buds still on trees.
The falls remain exceptionally full. And it did get crowded. Weekend traffic was quite persistent, breaking into full gridlock at places.
I did get paid a cookie for speaking Chinese and letting someone look through the back of my 8x10. Not sure which.
