How do I tighten a Linhof TECHNIKA front standard shift lock...

Need help understanding the Linhof TECHNIKA front standard shift lock...
Mine is loose... it appears intact just not completely tight when the lock is on... sliding the u bracket off the base I can see what looks like clear plastic sliding when the lock lever is moved but I don’t see how it creates friction or can be adjusted...
Anyone know how to adjust this?
Anyone have a repair guide for the front standard base?

Ps I have a IV & Master and they seem the same...

Anyone here know how to adjust the tension on the front standard "shift" ?

The part that allows the "U" standard to move side to side...

A lever atop the base releases and adds tension, mine is not very tight anymore maybe a 4 on a scale to 1-10...
