I have some left-over 5x7 Durst glass I won't use for anything else. Otherwise, I got glass from FocalPoint about ten years ago for one of the other Omega carriers.
I just finished making a DII glass carrier this morning. The "throat" of the enlarger, the part on which the carrier sits upon, is not physically big enough to illuminate the entire 4x5 sheet edge to edge. The rounded corners intrude into the image area top and bottom on one side. The other side looks good. But left or right (you choose) you will get rounded corners top and bottom.
The throat could be "opened up" a bit but I'm not into doing that right now.
Thinking about it some more, it would probably work for 9x12cm and 6.5x9cm sheets, which would be very useful to me.
And of course dust is a big issue.
Back to the drawing board. And using standard DII carriers. I do have a 4x5 glass DII one I have never investigated.

Daniel,
I think what you’re seeing in the corners is the outer circumference of the condenser above, no? I mentioned it in my post above.
Nope not using condensers in my DII. I'm using an "Omegalite", which is a diffusion head, uses a circular florescent bulb. Very soft illumination.
