@diversey Does your 12x20 F&S camera have an extension rail that attaches at the rear? and does the front portion of the rail fold up?

I assume your bellows is not original?

I too am considering getting more film holders for a 12x20 F&S- curious to hear how you solve yours.

Most F & S camera do not have a rear rail.

As to holders there are three ways to go.
1 Find holders that were made for the camera this is getting hard to do. I have seem a lot of F & S holder that were modified to work in camera that used the lock rib.
2 Have holders custom made. The main difference is F & S holder do not have a lock rib. The top lock plate has to be machined to fit the camera.
3 Have the camera modified to take standard holders. This has been done a a lot of cameras.

My camera has an extension rail attached in the rear and the front rail can be folded up. I believe the bellows is not original. It is hard to find a FS matched film holder. The best way is to find a Korona film holder to modify it and fit in your 12x20 FS camera. Below are my camera and a FS 12x20 film holder showing the groove/slot.

Going with a set of consistent holders and then fitting them to the camera is the way to go. I S&S holders that Richard Ritter set up the back to and they work great.

I'll say it since everyone seems to be dancing around it: Richard Ritter makes films holders for ULF cameras. I have several and they're great.

I think I count 4 members here seeking 12X20 holders this year

    Buy Film first

    Second buy holders

    Then buy camera to match

OR buy a matching set from one maker or seller

Sounds like a great plan Randy.

This became obvious to me AFTER I bought a Deardorff SC 11 WITHOUT holders

    RR made some

Keith Canham can get almost any KODAK film size

I am not interested in 12X20, but do have a 7X17...
