Dan, at this point, we don't need excuses for pointless interminable wrangles !!!

Gathering key contributors in the LF history may be nice, nice things makes people happy.

Rudolph invented the protar (first anastigmat), the planar, the tessar and the plasmat, sure that any debate about his contribution isn't pointless. A debate about how Stieglitz promoted photography as an art form isn't pointless.

There are many key images from key people that deserve to be joined in a single vault. No need to discuss if an image from an artist should be included, just every one may include one and saying why.

LFPF Hall of Fame Proposal Discussion

Could be a nice article on the main LFPF site to use as a reference ... like the idea of picking maybe 10 people ... representing key breakthroughs in technique and style. Weston is an obvious pick (despite or perhaps because of his lifestyle! He comes across as the stereotypical “artist”). Lange, Cunningham, Kanaga, Strand, Stieglitz, Cameron, Evans, Man. Some of the earlier pictorial work is enchanting, and of course the f64 landscapes and still lives. Not all of them were straight LF users, some of them used MF too.

I’m not as much up on the technical side - processes, film, lenses etc. But I could see adding another 10 on that side too.

There are already plenty of resources that list notable contributors to the art and craft of photography without us cluttering up a concise and informative site with what may degrade into a popularity contest.

    Hey! HEY!!
Even if we did have a Hall of Fame, how much fame would those who were inducted have? This ain't baseball. We're more like a clubby, world-wide, thin network of shared passion and knowledge.

So, NO to the the Hall of Fame.

I haven’t seen a concise article of say 10 pages as I described above. Could you share the resources you have found?

How about a Hall of Obscurity?
