It's degree show time, that's where it's all going - a couple of years ago, it was 120 C-41 that couldn't be had for love nor money at this time of year until manufacturers realised that demand was rising. I'd suggest it's probably LF's turn for a resurgence.

Portra is popular. When stockpiles tend to thin out at a particular dealer, then those who depend on a specific film tend to rapidly buy out what's left. So, if you can afford it, you just have to play the same game, and buy as much as you need for awhile when it's back in stock, and freeze it.

Glazers, FotoCare, Central, Webb Co, Ace, Orlando Photo & Hobby, Pitman, Robi’s, Ft Worth Camera, PPR, there are a lot of stores still out there that sell film,

The local camera store has some 4x5; so does my freezer. And a personal freezer is indeed the best way to balance out the cycle of supply and demand.

As soon as I can I am going to start stocking up on butt loads of film, 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10. The larger two in black and white only.

Is Kodak doing this on purpose? so we all go out and buy lots Portra film on the rebound and hoard when the film is available again. Haha!

In the Netherlands there are several shops that have that film in stock. Never had a problem before.
I own the gear, but those don't make masterpieces. My everyday experience.
