I'm using a paterson developing tank with one of those 6 slot holders.
Does anyone know of a device or way to develop more film at once?

Yankee tank, 12 sheets

I use 4-up 4X5 film hangers in a 1 gallon tanks, I can do 16 that way. Gas burst.
I could, but never do, 48 4x5 on 12 hangers in the 3.5 gallon tanks on a big rack that I can lift in and out.
The last person to ask this question had 4000 4X5 to process. Not sure what he did and he is no longer tuning in.
I bought my tanks after his question. I thought he was going to move in...not kidding!
I am not a service.

I use an HP Combiplan for up to 12 sheets at once. You have to put them back-to-back in the slots. Be careful - the emulsion side has to stay facing outwards, and the film needs extra fix/wash time because the backside of the sheet doesn't get much exposure to liquid. The films stick together when removed but can be easily taken apart.
Don't do this with color film, only black and white!
I use 1100mL of developer in my Combiplan, or 92mL per sheet. This is about 50% more than the amount I use in BTZS tubes but still relatively economical, and obviously way faster/easier. But the BTZS tubes are the most economical option in my darkroom.
I used to use a Yankee tank for final fixing but the edges of the film slots scratched at least a couple negatives every time, no matter how I loaded the films. So I can't recommend it.
