    April Portraits 2019

Didn't see an April thread yet, so I went ahead and started it.

My wife had her baby shower last month and I set up the Deardorff and asked to take a photo of my wife and her aunt. Didn't have time to do different shots since they were in a hurry but I like the way the photos came out.

    Deardorff 8x10
    12" Commercial Ektar at f/11
HP5+ in XTOL concentrate (so I could use 500mL in a Jobo 3005)
    V700 Scan
    Processed in Lightroom

Those are nice portraits. There is something special about those two photos, it is the fact that there is a light bokeh next to the dark edges of the ladies dresses. Some how, it reminds me the effect of Rodinal in the stand development. However, I can see you used extol. It must be the lens. However, the shots and the composition are definitely credited to the photographer. The younger lady's smile is very important in the photo to show her mood. The smile in the second photo seems a bit less natural. Congratulations in the nice shots.

Well done Charles. Communication is happening between subject and photographer.

I agree with Chassis. Well done, Charles!
