Has anyone tried to fit a 4x5 back to a Kodak Master View 8x10?

Hola! Has anyone done a diy 4x5 reducing back to fit a Kodak Master View 8x10 camera? Just thinking out loud this morning. I'm like "hmmmmm, there's got to be someone who has a 4x5 reducing and like after a few beers, said hey, I bet I can ductape that s**t to the back of my 8x10 Kodak Master View"!

Use Gaff tape not Duct tape

But pins like many 8X10 cameras use would be cleaner

It is not at all difficult. The whole board for the back is simple, and for mine there is a 4x5 Universal back centered. I use universal backs for all 4x5 builds. Ductape is not a good idea. Beer for breakfast?

I've read that the Burke and James 4x5 reducing back can be easily modded to fit the kmv but haven't done it myself. Do a search on this site and something shld come up. There was a oem 5x7 back.

OHhh, I worked in a catalog studio in NYC back in the day before digital (mostly large format ad shots) and we made a lot of stuff. I like ugly and functional.

I lived in a sparsely populated area. My nearest neighbor lived at the bottom of a bluff I owned. He was a skinny, beer-loving, weed smoking University professor. One day he went with a cliff climbing club just to observe but with no inclination to participate. He found that this club's prep was to drink beer and get loaded on weed. He's been a climber now for over twenty years.
