The article makes me crazy. The plural of "medium" is "media.' Just like the plural of "datum" is "data." Therefore, it's "various media." Another example: "The data are clear." Not "the media is," nor "the data is." Call me a Luddite, I don't mind.

I am American and I strongly agree with Bruce. It galls me to see all of the incorrect grammar and word choices on this and other forums.

We who are here to support photography should not be too harsh on those who may have higher priorities than precise grammar, or who may have a different native tongue. I consider LFPF as the best of all photographic sites. Let us keep it that way.

Languages evolve. English that is acceptable (and sometimes not acceptable) has evolved in my lifetime. Those who use words and phrases that seem wrong by old rules may be shaping the future of English.
