    Komura 75mm f6.3 Super-W ?

Anyone have experience with the Komura 75mm f6.3 Super-W? I would be using on a Pacemaker Graflex 4x5. I'm sure there are vastly better brands out there, but this lens seems a good fit for my camera. Thanks!

I had one in a Seikosha and it seemed sharp enough the couple of times I used it. The published image circle at f/22 is 158mm so mind the corners when using tilts and swings at infinity. You may not need a recessed lensboard because its flange focal length is around 100mm.

That lens is in my Plaubel catalog from the 70s, must have been an OK lens since they paired it up with the Peco Profia. Was distributed by EPOI at the time.

I believe that LF Komura lenses were/are greatly underrated because their little cousins that were made for 35mm and 6x6 were not up to the specs or build of OEM lenses (based on personal experience). Presently have and use a 300mm f/6.3 Komura and a 500mm Komura on my 4x5. Both "teles", so bellows draw is minimal considering their focal lengths. Both are superb performers.

EPOI dropped Plaubel when they became the Sinar distributor in the 70s.

+1 on that, Greg. Excellent quality control and design. Can't fault Komura lenses at all. I have, (or had): (90 f6.3), 152 f3.5, 210 f6.3, (300 f6.3). Gems, all of them. I'm sure, optically, the 75mm would be as good as any of the big four; it is quite large though.
