    Omega d5500 manual

    Hi all,

I've just bought a d5500 enlarger, and failed to find a manual. I could only buy a hard copy with shipping, beside the funny shipping cost it would take a couple of days, I live in Europe.
I bought a service manual, might need that, but a regular user manual would be better for starting.
Anyone has it in digitalized version?
    Thank you for your reply.

If you have the CLS Translator/Controller for color and want to use it for B&W multigrade printing I can post the startup sequence to get it into that mode. Basically you use it in "calibration" mode but never save the calibration; just turn it off when done. You do need the probe, however. Because to get into that mode, pressing the button on the probe is part of the startup sequence.

So, in that mode just type in the yellow and or magenta you want and type in the time. Very simple, that mode bypasses all the VCNA color matching and paper batch calibration programming.

Yes, that's one of those few that i was reffering to. So no digitalized version, only booklet. But it seems to me i have to buy and wait lets say a week, i havent found else.
Anyway, i have issues with that monster.
The data cable was broken, at least 6 pins damaged, now we've fixed.
What makes me headache, is that the controller shows zero life, we will look into that now.
Fan is starting, but obviously no lamp light because the controller is dark.
You might clear a question easily, for the footswitch only a power input is needed? That was how i recieved.
    Thank you for your answer.

I've just found and read an old post, where you managed to repair the lets say main board.
That's a valuable well documentated post, unfortunately the attached pictures are lost, but still i can use that.
    Thanks for sharing that!

Controller seems ok, so moving to the head.
This will be a funny long way, i mean to fix the power supply board

The controller is much harder to fix than the power supply board.

    ic-racer,
do you have any idea where to find spare parts for powersupply board nowadays?
For example: SC142D triac, UDN5714m ic. Or any suggestion for replacemant products for these?
Intrestingly the 4700uF capacitor is working, healthy
