Using the depth of field scale on a Sinar P or X questions

So recently acquired a 4x5 Sinar X in all but new condition (in its original box yet). No last time I used a Sinar P was back in the 1980s shooting 8x10 chromes, mostly architectural images. Took me a while to figure out which knob did what on the standards, but that really all came back after fiddling around with the camera for a while. In the 1980s, could operate all the movements without taking my head out from under the black focusing cloth... pretty sure will be able to be able to do that in a few weeks, but now using the binocular reflex viewing hood.

For the life of me, I can't remember is how to use the depth of field scale. Best I can figure it out:
    1. line up the arrow on the scale after focusing on the farthest object.
    2. turn the rear knob till the nearest object in the image is in focus
    3. the f/stop dial then indicates which aperture to use to achieve everything in focus
    4. set up the focus half way in-between the arrow and the indicated f/stop?
dial is marked for the 4x5 format, but not sure what the "90" indicates on the label.

Is there a brochure or publication out there that covers the Sinar P or X that I should keep my eyes out for?

    thanks
