    Howdy From SW Ohio

I am seriously considering getting an Intrepid 4x5. I have been on the fence, but their new enlarger attachment just might put me over the edge. I have shot SLR/DSLR camera’s for ~50 years, have B&W darkroom experience and have been working with medium format for a couple of years.

    Current bodies are:
    - Nikon N90s (film)
    - Nikon D500 (D200 backup)
    - Fuji X-T2 (mirrorless)
    - Mamiya 645 (got a great deal on the whole kit w/ 3 lenses, film holders, etc, from a pro going MF digital)

The only LF gear I have will be delivered today. I bought a few 4x5 film holders on ebay and am patiently looking for a deal on a lens. I will probably start with a 150, 90 or 75 depending on what I can find. My initial 3 lens strategy is to get a 150, 75/90 & 210/240 over time, but like any plan, it may change with experience. I am looking used on lenses to keep down the cost of mistakes.

I know just enough to know I don’t know much about LF. I am here to learn.

    21 Sept 18 ETA - I just ordered a 3rd gen Intrepid 4x5.

Welcome aboard! LF is not so different than smaller formats- just slower and more thought required. But here, we think that the results justify that effort.
A copy of Simmons' book on using the view camera will be very useful.
The front page of this site is full of good information as well- as are the forum members here.
    Best of luck!
