Image Sharing tech specs question

Hello All, When I've shared an image on this thread in the past, it seems that my images lose quality quite substantially. I see many images shared here by others, and their clarity and sharpness is very good. I'm a 4x5 photographer. If anyone here has any pointers, please let me know. Thanks
