    Terrific portrait, Deardorffuser!

Love this. They seem so relaxed. Love LF portraits like this. Those birds are going nuts.

Scovill Waterbury Lens Jocelyn Portrait by rrunnertexas, on Flickr

For so long I have wanted a Scovill camera - I finally have one which is the version 2, in full plate. The single holder I have has wooden inserts for 5x7, so that is what I'm shooting at the moment.

One of the first shots from this camera from the back yard.

    Nice.
It still amazes me that cameras that took pictures of our Civil War and Pres. Lincoln are still being used today with basically the same technology, film tech, and chemicals.

Yah, don't know what years those old wooden cameras are but yah, the point it man, so much tech today and photography, the kind we do, hasn't really changed much. And to think of what those images those lenses took over the decades. Gives me a chill.
