    protar zeiss 1:9 F82 lens can be used for 4x5 format ?

    I bought a E.krauss Paris Protar-zeiss 1:9 F82 lens, someone said it cannot be used for 4x5 format, only 6x9? how much the lens image covered?

    It should cover 90 degrees -- 164 mm -- "at small apertures." Try it out.

    If it is the series IIIa made from after 1892, then the Voigtlander version was given as being a 97 degree wide-angle!

    Based on the chart below, estimating 82mm f9 image circle is just above 16cm diameter
