I got to speak with Peter several times over the phone.
He was very generous with his knowledge.
It's good to see his website back up!

Peter made some spectacular images, but its a shame the photos on the web site are such tiny representations of the work. With some of the work, there's also a lot of JPG compression - you can barely see whats in the images, let alone actually appreciate the content.
Yes it is. Too bad I don't see his price sheets which were great for seeing options.
I know I printed them, but I am real bad at filing. They are somewhere inside 100+ boxes from my recent move.
I see at this page bottom 5 Gowland threads from 2006 to 2010. They are before my time here, I'm off to read them.
If you visit the website, be sure to look at the "War Years" photos. In many respects, those photos demonstrate his skill as a photographer beyond the pinup glamour.
I have a 1989 brochure from him. I have to see if I can dig it out and scan it.
I am so very glad that I've held onto my 4X5 Gowland Pocket-View camera! As I've gotten older I've grown to truly appreciate its combination of appropriate functionality with back-saving light weight! Thank you Peter!
USPS just delivered the Peter Gowland 330 Best Poses. It's NOS from his stash I suppose. Peter writes in first person. Not a reproduction.
Glad to add it to my coffee table.
Kinda cool his legacy lives on and his heirs can make a sale now and then. Reminds me of the same type 'inheritance' that Packard Shutter Co provides.
