Re: 14x17 film holder build question

Oh, man! I forgot to update this way back when.

I did go to Balsa USA and was allowed to go in their back room and pick through the sizes they had. I got some quite flat pieces that I think will work very well to make my holders.

Unfortunately, this has been put on back burner for a while as I do tons of other things; especially things that actually produce income instead of spend it! It's weighing on my mind, since I now have all I need to make the camera: wood, metal, bellows, tools, shutter, lenses. But I know that, once I build it, I'll want to spend both time and money on film, photography, and -- the biggest commitment -- setting up a darkroom space large enough for 14x17. My upstairs bathroom will work, but it will be tight, and take a lot of effort.

Uh-Oh I clicked on that link

They sell $2000 airplane kits 1/3rd scale with 10 ft wingspan!

I made a lot of tiny ones 60 years ago and crashed every one!

Great source, thanks for posting the link

I'm new to this forum, but have been a Balsa USA customer for over 40 years. They are very good folks, and I recommend them as often as I can.

I'll do that, too, from now on. They were both friendly an generous.
