This is about as good as I've ever seen for home made dry plates, very nice indeed.
Thanks, Alan. Having seen 19th-century enthusiast-made dry plates, I know they're capable of very fine quality. I'm still fairly hit and miss with mine, but my hit rate is slowly increasing...

Thanks, Jim! I was certainly stunned when it came out of the wash. A fortuitous combination of a good batch of emulsion, good light (late afternoon autumn sun open shade), and a pretty good guesstimate on the exposure... I'll take it!
