Presenting our work online/congrats Chris Jordan

Big congrats to Chris Jordan on the feature story on his work in the New York Times this Sunday http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/24/arts/design/24geft.html . This is work that deserves a large audience. I hope that this leads to great success for Chris.

Also a thanks to Paul Raphaelson on his recent post about using PDF's to promote work with galleries and magazines. Shameless plug: I had an e-book published in PDF by Pedro Meyer of ZoneZero Editions and it was a good way to have some of one's work seen. Anyone interested in having a look can download a free copy of the 6.9MB PDF at http://www.digitaljournalist.org/issue0405/remember_sarajevo.pdf

It was an excellent article; well-written. I admire your artistry and your integrity-the two should always go hand in hand. Good luck.

I like Chris's images but can do without the socialist B.S. We can all thank technology to sustain our comfortable lifestyle and numbers. Many if not most of us wouldn't be here with the technology of the 1800's. Its someone's surplus capital that buys his prints.

    That's right, Jim.
And to prove it to these commies, I'm going to do a opposing series of even bigger prints, demonstrating that we need more consumption, not less ... more goods produced, more resources harvested, more delicious, profitable garbage burried. More! MORE!!!

Environmental conservation and reducing consumption has nothing to do with Socialism. Time to brush up on the terminolgy and stop throwing terms around.

Odd ideas about socialism aside, I don't recall the article saying anything about technology (except that photographic technology annoys him when he wants the creativity to flow). It was commenting on waste and mass consumerism, not the good or bad of the technology being wasted/consumed.
