Well, the 1980's are history too! An interesting day of shooting, I'm sure...

I think if I were to do this again, I would have used a swing rather than a tilt. Id also get her to move her lower body more into the ivy as well

These guys are all part of a re-enactment group called the ragged Victorians, fun to shoot but they don't break character so photographing the prostitutes was a bit of an ordeal, "Ooh you've got a big one sir! Would you like to have us both together?"

Came out really good. I like the contrast and look of that lens wide open.

    Re: June Portrait Thread

Here is a portrait I took of the Bullock's and their fantastic house here in Tasmania, made it as thanks for letting me onto their property to shoot a 130 year old mulberry tree.

Some of you who are into historical photography may be interested to read my blog post. Complete coincidence... I knocked on their door yesterday to ask if I could take a photo of their mullberry tree. They introduced themselves and turns out John has a fantastic collection of ambrotypes, tintypes and albument prints, CDV cards and whatnot of such people as Doc Holliday's wedding portraits (how they got here in Tasmania is anyone's guess... I cover that in my blog) and also a family tintype photo album of Ulysses S Grant!

Check out my blog post if you're interested. Pretty amazing stuff.
