How much liquid does the cup hold when filling it vertically? After it's filled with developer does it take long to get into the film area when rolling on its side?
I'm not sure what volume is my guess is something like 250ml. Once you lay down the tank it empties in seconds. Roll the tube back and forth vigorously for first 30 seconds or so then just roll the tank back and forth on a level surface. A motor roller works well, NEEDS TO BE A REVERSING TYPE one that turns CW then CCW. You will need to watch so tank doesn't walk off rollers.

I use a large rubber band to keep it from walking off the rollers.

If you don't believe it, look into an 8x10 viewfinder!
