So, time to speculate (if you don't know).
Any idea how many 210mm Super Angulons were made, both single coated and MC?
And just because, any idea how many 210mm SSXLs are out there?
Thanks!

DId you try asking Schneider directly?
I haven't had a chance, yet.
This question arose whilst I was in a Transit Lounge in Singapore...

Or Rodenstock 200mm Grandagon's!
Question never came up while we were the US distributor from mid 1986 till we ended our business in early 2015. What difference would it make? As long as there were sales for the product the factory made them. When production ceased the inventory took quite a while to get to zero at the factory, then our inventory, as the Rodenstock distributor took a bit longer to get to zero then our dealers had to sell the lenses that they had left in stock.
The Rodenstock factory always gave us ample warning of lenses that they were going to discontinue so we and our dealers could plan accordingly. Just like Fuji announced last shipments of a newly announce discontinued film would be sometime in May of next year.
At a guess the number would be in the hundreds, not thousands. Most of the batches were around the 10 - 25 mark and they were few and far between.
Thanks, Paul.
I think you're correct.
I'd think the SSXL would be lucky to reach 100, as, too, the 200mm Grandagon.

Someone asked Luca Montemozzoli (sp?), the president of Ferrari, how many cars he planned to build each year. "One less than the demand" was his reply.
