    Cinestill images

Post your images using Cinestill film! I searched the site and found only two images that use this film. What speed are people rating it?

    Re: Cinestill images

My intent with this thread was to share images made with motion picture film in still cameras. So this could be with Kodak Vision 3 / 500T, and other manufacturers' motion picture emulsions exposed in still cameras.

Nice one. I am interested in what folks are shooting with this, having received the 4x5 film from the Cinestill Indiegogo campaign.

On an almost-semi-related-sort-of-in-a-way topic, here's a comparison of Leica and Cooke cinema lenses by a respected cinematographer, Shane Hurlbut. Yup, them cinematographers are lens nerds too...

I am going to Paris in june and thats all I will shoot at night, i have tested it at home and it works very well. You can also buy some kodak 50D and 250D vision film in 35mm, 36 rolls from Nick & Trik photo in the Uk. You just have to remove the anti-halation layer. They have a how to guide for you to follow, as long as you home develop. They are really nice guys. Shooting cinestill in the city that never sleeps will be great.

Cinestill is taking pre-orders for their 120 film right now.

These were shot with an M3/50mm summicron in really low light. No flash, shot at 1600. Developed in c-41 3.5 min/ standard time.

For this one, I went "old school" and used a Vivitar 70-150mm F/3.8 manual focus lens, rather than the usual autofocus Nikon 70-200mm F/2.8 VRII.

Nikon F5, Cinestill 50D, Vivitar 70-150mm F/3.8, Hensel studio strobe with a 48" octabox about 4-5 feet to camera left.
