    Greetings from London, England.

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Julian and I'm originally from Auckland, NZ but have been living in London for 13 years.
I love film photography and have been shooting 35mm and medium format for a few years now.

About a year ago I acquired a Speed Graphic and fell in love with the larger format.
However I soon realised I wanted more movements so I upgraded to a Wista 45DX very recently.
I'm fortunate to be able to travel through work so hopefully I'll be lugging my LF gear with me soon!

It's been great finding this forum and I hope to learn a lot from you all.
I've seen a lot of great and inspiring work on here already!
I'll try not to ask the obvious questions that have already been posted.

Thanks very much for having me here and I look forward to learning from you all.

    Thanks,
    Julian

    Welcome aboard Julian!

Glad to have you as a member of the LFP club.

Do you shot color or black & white when shooting large format? The reason I ask is because on your website you have mostly color images. Nice travel images BTW.

    Hi Louis,

    Thanks for the welcome!

I generally shoot colour, although I do love black and white.
I'm hoping to shoot a lot of environmental portraits and landscapes in 2017 on large format.
I've done a few night shots on large format but I'd like to move more into these other fields so I can get out of my comfort zone.

If you (or anyone) have any tips (especially on environmental portraiture) I'd be pleased to hear them!

    Thanks,
    Julian
