    Color lab recommendations

Hello fellow LF Forum members ~

I am brand new to LF and this forum. I have found it to be a great resource as I am now getting my feet into LF for the first time.

I just purchased a Toyo-Field 45AII camera and a couple of lenses, learning the ropes, making mistakes, learning, making mistakes, ...

My plan is to shoot both b/w and color, but probably b/w mostly. For b/w I plan on sending off my film to Dalmatian Labs, which conveniently is located in Greensboro, not far from where I live in Raleigh, NC.

I am wondering if anyone has some recommendations for a great color lab, as Dalmatian only processes b/w film? I am, at least initially, shooting Portra 400 on the color side of things.

Thanks in advance and I am looking forward to being a member of this LF community.

    All the best,
    Christer B

Hi Christer B, and welcome aboard.

    Another vote for Dodge Chrome.

They do all my work. Excellent quality.

Thanks to everyone who responded so quickly. I will give DodgeChrome in DC a whirl, based on your recommendations and proximity to me.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

A third vote for Dodge-Chrome; I think they'll fit your needs, nicely. I've had good luck with them and use them for almost all of my processing needs. I can also talk to "the film guy," if I need to.

Let us "know how it goes" for you.
