Deardorff repair: popped rivet (?) on front metal standard fold plate / hinge

On my Deardorff 8x10, the front standard folding plate has half of it's rivets (or nails?) popped out on the hinge. I'm wondering if there is an official way to fix this to it's original condition, or if it's best to just glue it with some kind of glue for metal?

In the archives (Repairs for 8x10 Deardorff), I just found out this is probably a "split rivet" - so I will look for those in hardware stores.

No, this is not a split rivet. It is a regular rivet, but probably smaller than you may find easily. (fyi the split or "bifurcated" rivets are for holding the handle hardware to the wood)
Don't glue it, I'll see if I can find the rivet(s) you need.
