    November 2016 Portrait Thread

I hope no one minds if I start this month with a photo I developed in November, though technically taken a couple of days before.

I won't bore you with the whole series in the next week but this is obviously the most "important" photo taken . If you are interested keep a watch on my blog for more from this day. My good friend helped me shoot this and most of the photos from the day.

an uncommon thing for me: Photographing kids - brother and sister - 13x18 cm paper negative - one exposure of each...

    Cooke 12" F 3.5

I was pleasantly surprised how well they posed..

Corran, congrats! Of course I remember the engagement, but I hadn't realized time flies the way it does. Blink and you're married all of a sudden

Thanks! We didn't at first intend to do this so quick, but then we did, with a very, very small group of family and close friends. I failed to mention that behind me is the abandoned and burnt-out church we were engaged at!

Very nice and clean shot with extremely complimenting composition elements - well done.

Thanks Sergei - by the way, your images using a 360mm focal length are what inspired me to pick up a 360mm Symmar when I found one very inexpensively. I like the lens a lot! This was actually the first image I shot using it.

    glad you like it.

Only after your words i realized i actually do use that length a lot in portraits - either as 16 inches Heliar or as Symmar.. My 300mm seem to gather dust lately most of time (except for Radar, but this is other story)
