For fun, here is a proof sheet (negs laid on the light table) for a long past bike/hike with the boys...2007

I photographed the neg on the light table and inverted it to show here -- will make a pt/pd print from the 5x7 negative. I have forgotten how long the exposure was 15 minutes or so. I stood in front of the fire most of the time to reduce its exposure. Fun...I did not tell my friends this image was being made.

HMG -- a good image that fits the bridge...rough and ready.
Reminds me of some of the trail bridges in Patagonia that have one person limits. This would be on the very high end of their scale.

Vaughn...about that campfire photo - I find it a bit ironic that the guys who likely had the most to drink probably looked the sharpest!
edit: assuming, of course (with apologies and head slap)...that there was in fact any drinking involved!

Always...

After hiking through the southwest and canyon trails, spent some time along the rim for photo ops
Cool! Love the faint mountain on the right horizon. One early spring, decades ago (1977), to get to work I had to walk along the rim in the snow, with the sun rising as I walked. Never saw anyone else. Tough life sometimes...
