Contact Michael at Genesis for possibility of using OS10: http://www.genesis-equipment.com/pro...nners_242.aspx
It appears the Jazz + will only work with Mac, not PC.

You need the last version of Jazz + Software. Version 3.5.1

I had and gave it to Michael, when I sold my two working Jazz +. Great workhorse!

Currently using EverSmart Pro II with Ratoc FRS1X on my Intel Mac Pro with 2.6.3.
Will upgrade to 2.6.4 for Snow Leopard.

Also running an Imacon Flextight Precision II/III with Ratoc FRS1X on my PPC G5 Quad Core MAXed out on Leopard & on secondary HD in Tiger 10.4.1.1.

Still have several reformatted G4 MMD as a backup.

    Hi Evan

I am running an Eversmart Supreme and a Imacon Precision 11 .

How do you like the combination and do you find one unit more versatile or better to use than the other?
I like the flexibility that these two scanners offer me here, I have done ton's of work on each and have been very satisfied with both.

    Nagairaj,

I will check to see if I have it loaded on my Backup Drive.

What is your current computer setup?
Do you plan to run it in SCSI mode or you have any of the Firewire to SCSI adapter?

Did you try checking with Michael Streeter for the software? When I sold him my two Jazz+ scanners, I gave him the software, Cables, manuals, and Crete-LUT manuals.

    Re: Creitex Eversmart Jazz +

    Hi Bob,

I have to run both scanner as INDIVIDUAL scanners with different OS.

Both scanners has different means of achieving its final mode.

The Creo/Scitex is able to pull out of the shadow area far better than the Imacon Precision II/III.

I wish I had the Supreme as it is slightly better than the Pro II I have. I had ran all of the scanners made by Scitex, as we were a big Scitex client. Eventually other in-house shops used the last version of the Hell drum scanner (NICE!! But far too big & cumbersome to mount onto the drum)

Nevertheless, I am building a new Snow Leopard Mac Pro to take advantage of a better & more stable OS than Leopard.
Also have the ability to use the last version software 2.6.4

The Imacon Precision II/III has that 3F plug-in function that is similar to the Scitex Re-Scan mode from a RAW file. Think its DT?
The 3F is a direct Photoshop plug-in, os you can create a TIFF everytime, but still retain the original RAW File.

Is your Supreme the SCSI or FireWire version? Its one of the best scanner that Scitex ever made.
