    100mm 3.5 Ektar for 4x5?

    Hi all,

I have a line on an Omega D2 with an Ektar 100mm 3.5 lens. Will this lens work for enlarging 4x5 negatives?

    Thanks,

    Curtis

Post deleted, I considered the Ektars taking lenses, like mine. Looks like there are also enlarging versions.

    Have a look here: http://www.bnphoto.org/bnphoto/KodakEktarsDB-Index.htm
Looks like the "plain" 100/3.5 is certainly a 2x3" taking lens, designed for the Medalist cameras. Enlarging Ektars are f4.5, not f3.5.
The f/6.3 version (Wide Field Ektar) has plenty coverage as a taking 4x5" lens.
Anyway, I have never seen other than 135 and 150mm enlarging lenses for the 4x5" format. All the 100-105s I have used are for 6x9 at best.

120mm Rodagon WA is a wide angle 45 enlarging lens that easily and fully covers 45.

You're right. In the pictures, it looks like a taking lens adapted to fit an enlarger.

Oooops, right. I missed the WA ones.
