This is a recent portrait with my daughter. She's got a serious side like me. I got a nice one of my other daughter last year holding a lupine, so I thought I'd spend some time and film on the idea. I think this is with my Kodak 305 portrait lens and fp4+ in pyrocat hdc. I'll know for sure once I develop the other photos.

Thanks JP, and thanks for sharing this wonderful portrait of your daughter. Still waters do indeed run deep with this one I think.

Thanks Thomas, I"m not sure what the brown object is, amazing the things that stick with us from those early years, isn't it?

    Re: June 2016 Portraits

I have ~80 negatives from my projects to be scanned and posted (hopefully around 30-40 would be good enough....) :-) Probably not all posted here though. It would swamp the thread...

    Here's one:

Science Fiction author John Scalzi and his wife "K". Mr. Scalzi is somewhat a spokesperson for the genre as he writes a popular blog.

In the previous evening, my friend John O' saw an Instagram of K and Alethea Kontis with John photobombing in the back and commented that I should get them to participate to my ‪"Worldbuilders of SF&F"‬ project. I said, yes, they are on it except K, so I talked to K, explained to her the project is "portraits of Science Fiction & Fantasy creative types on 4x5" large format film". K replied that she's not an author.

I said, "Oh?" and she said, "I am John Scalzi's wife." I said, "GREAT, I would love to take your photos!"

Nice Rembrandt lighting. And you have captured perfectly that jaded "Dad, enough with the camera" look common to the teenage children of large format shooters...
