    flashing impossible 8x10 2.0

    I just got a box of the new impossible 8x10 2.0 film

    its nice but quite high contrast

    has anybody pre flashed it to reduce contrast ?

    its rather expensive for me to play with so any advise

    ISO 640 is too high to pre-flash.

    ISO 640 is too high to pre-flash.
    That's not true. I've pre-flashed Polariod film that had an ISO of 3000.

    TIP 8x10 is so expensive.
    Who is willing to test the preflashing?
    The examing results should be very accurate and easy to copy.

    It's a very simple procedure to pre-flash film in-camera. Flash it on zone II, then make your exposure as you normally would. If you don't want to pre-flash (it's actually called pre-exposure when it's done to film), then set up more lights/reflectors. In the end, everything that you do is still a test...
