My hope is that other folks will give us some examples of softness achieved at the enlarger. Mine was just to get us started. --Jim Galli
No one else posted in Jim's thread. It would be nice to see side-by-side the Symmar negative printed with a soft-focus lens compared to the in-camera soft images.

I'd be happy to send you the negative.

Thank you for these. As a newfound Imagon owner these were beyond helpful!

I was about to sell my 300mm Imagon but now I'm keeping it. Thank you! now I just need to find a way to mount it on a small board.

me too..well..at least I'll give it another go

I never liked that 'all in' look you see with a lot of their pix.. just looks like a smudged up lens to me.. but it looks like it calms down a lot at certain settings..next shoot I'll drag it out I think

    Here are some more tests. Let's start with a 305mm Graphic-Kowa @ f/9:

Next is an 300mm Imagon with the small disk and the outer holes one half closed:

Here's some more with a 300mm Imagon. In this case I made two aperture disks out of black posterboard. I placed them right behind the glass on the Rodenstock 2x filter.

    The first one was 47mm:

    The second one was 57mm:
