Beautiful image of the Point Wilson light, Reinhold! I've sailed by it many a time, but never took the time to photograph it (when I was in Port Townsend, I devoted myself to sailing - I'm doing a lot more photography now that I've sold my sailboat)

    Best,

    Doremus

This is the old Fayette county courthouse in Lexington, Kentucky. Back in the day, there was a slave auction block behind the courthouse.

Here is a gargoyle that guarded the main entrance to the courthouse.

Looks like a lions head to me or can a lions head be a gargoyle?

view from gothic (about 1580) tower of St. Blasius Church in Hann.Münden. Surrounding houses dated from 1100 (one of the ones you see here, I do not know which one). The city is rather well maintained.
Scan from Ilford FP4 neg, taken by handheld Cambo wide. I will show a corresponding little copperplate photogravure in alternative...thread.
Unfortunately wood timbered houses still are destroyed in other places.
End of september I will show a (partly digitalistic) solo exhibition within this tower about 30 m upstairs, details later.
