Lab in Houston Texas for E-6 Processing?

Just found out that Acers lab in Houston stopped processing E-6 films beginning last maonrh.

Is there anywhere in Houston Texas that will still process E-6 sheet films?

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!

You might try these guys. I have not used them, and have no affiliation with them. They're the only one, besides AZ Photo, that I saw on a web search, that's in Houston, TX. Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks, I'll try them next.

AZ couldn't (wouldn't?) recommend anyone in Houston.

So, it looks like no-one will do e-6 processing anymore . . .can that be right?

I have done a couple of searches and only B&W or color neg comes up . . .and that at a nearly prohibitive cost.

Is there just no e-6 processing available anywhere?

Drew, if not in Houston, there is Holland Photo over in Austin. They still do E-6 daily, I just had some films processed by them.

Does the lab at the link I gave not do E-6 in general or just not sheet film? Just curious. I hope you find a lab.

    Drew,

I have been using AgX imaging in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Mike Lussier is as good as it gets when it comes to E6. I have been sending him my 8x10, 4x10, and all other formats to him with perfect results. Granted, you need to ship your film, but he is good and his prices are very reasonable. http://www.agximaging.com

    2 in Chicago at least.

These 2 are in the same building, but different labs and prices.

One up to 11x14. I use the cheaper one. CSW, but they are just coming back online from a move.

Re: Lab in Houston Texas for E-6 Processing?

    Thanks everyone.

I will probably start with Holland in Austin as it seems to be the closest.

I am still a little surprised that Houston, the forth largest market in the nation, no longer has a lab processing E-6 films (but Austin does?).

An extreme Hipster, known as my 'son' moved from Chicago to Austin many years ago. He shoots only roll film and loves Holland Photo for all things. Now he is Hipstering NYC, but sends his film to Holland.

My 'son' is now 40, he makes me proud.

    May he never grow up!
