Which one(s) to keep and which to sell?

I have four LF lenses and really only want to keep two. I was thinking of selling one or two them. Let's hear the good and bad on each one.

    Goerz Dagor 12" f6.3

    Wollensak Raptar 9.5" f6.3

    Graflex Optar 8" f7.5

Steinheil Munchen Doppelanastigmat Unofokal 6.5" f4.5

    Any help or advice?

    Thanks

    FWIW: I shoot with a Deardorff 5x7 (with 5x7 and 4x5 backs)

The Optar is very underrated goodness as long as the shutter is also good. Compact and sharp and smooth at the same time.

Are they in shutters? The DAGOR is the best of the bunch, but awfully long if you shoot 4x5 for but would be good on 5x7 for portrait full face shots. The other two Wollensaks are close enough to just pick the one in the better shutter. Lose the Unifocal, though they are decent lenses.

All are in good shutters and the glass is very clean. Thanks

Keep the two you use the most!

To throw a famous name at you, Paul Strand used a 12' Dagor on his 5x7 for many years. The Graflex Optar is a fine lens, the same optic as the 203/7.7 Kodak Ektar. Can't comment on the other two, although Wollensak lenses are often underrated.

Definitely keep the Dagor and probably the Steinheil. If you need an 8"ish optic, decide between the other two or sell both and get another Dagor. Those 3 lenses will cover 95% of your needs and you just don't need to take photos of the last 5%. L

That is what I was thinking too. The Steinheil renders nicely and the Dagor is what it is!

I just posted the Wollensak and the Graflex lenses in the FOR SALE Forum.
